Human Rights Panel – Inclusion in Sport

Sport has the power to bring people together. But that power only matters when people can participate, belong, and be themselves.

Alphabet Sports Collective is proud to be part of Capital Pride’s Human Rights Program, presented in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to Canada, for an important conversation about advocacy, inclusion, and human rights in sport.

Our Executive Director, Sean Addis, will moderate a discussion bringing together advocates, community leaders, and experts to explore the role sport can play in advancing inclusion — and the work still needed to ensure our sport spaces live up to that promise.

For ASC, these conversations are an important part of changing the game. Inclusion is about more than inviting people into existing spaces. It means listening to lived experiences, challenging the systems and traditions that create barriers, and building environments where people can play, connect, lead, and belong.
